Overseen by Program Executive Office for Digital and Enterprise Services (PEO Digital), NESD is a centralized support center that assists naval personnel (Sailors, Marines and civilians) with technical issues 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Its key capabilities include a self-service portal, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) and multiple channels for users to submit trouble tickets. With these features, NESD offers enhanced user experiences, cost savings and operational efficiencies through automation and consolidation.
“Enterprise information technology services are critical enablers for the DON,” said Jane Rathbun, Department of the Navy Chief Information Officer (DON CIO). “NESD is a prime example of how we can consolidate and optimize IT services to deliver better outcomes for our personnel while saving costs and improving security.”

NESD is funded to consolidate and provide core services for customers identified within Budget Submitting Offices (BSOs) in Fiscal Year 2025.
